A few weeks ago I was invited down to London for a photoshoot for Jenny Craig. You may recall that throughout the summer I took up the Jenny Craig diet and it made a huge difference to me and my confidence. I have never been big on diets, if I’m honest I’ve always been pretty lucky and haven’t needed to diet but as my Mum used to say to “just you wait until you have children” and she was right – don’t you hate it when that happens. After Little Bean and Beanie Boy my body was far from it’s former glory and I was left feeling fat, frumpy and very self-conscious. When the opportunity arose to do a diet that I didn’t have to buy lots of funny foods for or even think about too much, I jumped in with both feet and I didn’t look back.
The diet was soooo easy to follow and the best part about it was I had a great consultant, Alex who was always just a phone call away if I was having a bad food day, if I wanted to have a meal out and didn’t know what was allowed or just to chat about how things were going. Alex was my rock throughout my diet and most definitely one of the contributing factors to my success.
Once I had reached my goal weight I didn’t just get a pat on the back and sent on my way, Alex then helped me to sort out a maintenance plan to ease me back into cooking healthy wholesome food and planning my meals to stay on track and I’m happy to say that I am still maintaining my weight today.
I’m really pleased with the results of the shoot, although I wish my Mum would let me keep the red shoes I borrowed from her, aren’t they gorgeous! Who knew that you would have to stand so awkwardly to look so natural, I was exhausted by the end of it all and I think my face was an inch thicker thanks to all the makeup I had to wear but I think you’ll agree the photo turned out pretty good. I’m really proud of myself for my weight loss achievement, its the best thing I could have done for myself.
