For someone who isn’t big on cooking, I LOVE cookbooks. I have a cupboard full of them, every now and then I open the cupboard and take one out just to look at the pictures of mouthwatering meals and others I do actually take them out, choose a recipe and COOK it! My family will testify that this was a rarity but over the past couple of months since I have been weaning Beanie Boy I cook our evening meal most nights. My plan is to slowly (very slowly) become Masterchef in my own kitchen with the help of all my cook books.
I was recently sent the WeightWatchers Simply Enjoy Cookbook which is packed with 130 new recipes, over 70 of which are vegetarian or there are vegetarian alternatives on some recipes. What is really great about this cookbook is that all of the recipes can be used in line with the Weightwatchers ProPoints Plan.
Simply Enjoy covers recipes for everything from snacks and side dishes, lunches and lovely desserts, to picnics and barbeques, vegetarian and even Christmas!
Each recipe tells you the ProPoints value for that dish, it will also tell you clearly how long it should take in preparation and cooking time, as well as information such as whether the dish is suitable for freezing. The recipes offer very clear step-by-step instructions on how to create your meal so there really is no excuse for someone like me to produce a picture perfect meal which is healthy and filling.
If you have leftovers, not to worry Simply Enjoy have got that covered too with handy tips on what you can do with your leftovers so that no food is wasted.
So far I have tried the Linguine with Broad Beans and Rocket, which was a really simple dish and very tasty for only 8 ProPoints and Apricot and Chocolate Bar which was DELICIOUS!
If you know someone who is keen to watch their weight or already following the ProPoints Plan then this would make an excellent gift, don’t forget Christmas is coming!!

I am so the same as you with cook books! I love them, I think they look beautiful, but am useless at cooking! The weightwatchers book looks great, my weight fluctuates like nobodies business and it may help keep me at a healthy stable weight! Definitely will go have a look at this in the shop. x

Thanks for this, I too have recently purchased this book. The recipes are brilliant, soo tasty. I highly recommend the Parsi lamb, and the watermelon & feta salad is the best summer salad I’ve ever tasted 🙂
