Saturday Snippets – 24th January 2015

{Watching} – Hansel & Gretel Witch Hunters with the Hubby. It certainly not the story that I knew but it’s a mildly amusing film with some very bizarre witches and a lovely troll!

{Eating} – Moser Roth Caramel Chocolate from Aldi. I am supposed to be back on my healthy eating kick BUT I keep getting drawn in by cake and chocolate.

{Reading} – James and the Giant Peach with Beanie Boy. The Beans saw the film over Christmas and now BB is obcessed with it and so we are reading it at bedtime each night.

{Proud} of Little Bean as she is really coming along with her reading at the moment. She has just gone up another level at school and really seems to have clicked with it.

{Frustrated} by Jelly Bean as he seems to be firmly settling himself into the terrible twos. He is throwing lots of tantrums, objects and himself on the floor followed by head banging. I am doing my best to ignore it and have found that does make them pass quicker. ‘Defiant’ is this boys middle name!

Snapshots – I have had a very busy and productive week. On Tuesday I enjoyed a child-free day in London at the Toy Fair, it started way too early for me but it was worth it. I have had some challenging behaviour from the Beans this week which has tired me out at times but even on the bad days, we have still had some laughs. They all have strong personalities and I love them for it, I just wish I didn’t always have to be their sparring partner.

I’m hoping to do Saturday Snippets as a regular feature. I saw Saturday Snippets on Making It Up and decided that it was something I wanted to do too. Pop over to see Jax, she’s a great writer.
