This time last week . . . Weston-Super-Mare

Weston-Super-Mare Another gorgeous day awoke us from our beds and we could feel the seaside at Weston-Super-Mare calling us, I had no idea what to expect.  If I’m honest geography was not my favourite topic and about as much as I knew about Weston-Super-Mare was that T4 hold their Party on the Beach there (or at least I think they do?).

We managed to bag ourselves a parking space along the seafront which cost £7 for the day, not too bad I suppose.  There seemed to be a lot of development going on along the seafront which was promising as some of the buildings looked a little sad and in need of some love.

The Grand Pier is definitely the most modern pier I have seen in a long time.  In July 2008 the Grand Pier burnt down and it took some time but it is now an impressive feature for WSM to proud of.

We didn’t actually venture away from the promenade at all, we were too busy enjoying the sea air and taking in the sights and sunshine.  We had a very enjoyable leisurely day (and ok, we finished off our day with a spot of shopping at the Clarks Shopping Village on the way home!).
