I am certainly not new to the brand name Theraline; I have written about Theraline a number of times on Mummy Matters now because, well, basically, they are a fantastic brand that has not only seen me comfortably through one pregnancy but they cared for my little man once he was here and for the past couple of months, they have been back in my life again supporting me and my need for a good night’s sleep through another pregnancy.
Yes, I am talking about my Theraline Maternity Pillow!! I parted company with my pillow about 18 months ago when my cousin was expecting her first baby, and she borrowed the pillow from me as she was struggling to get comfortable in bed and was suffering from backache. Thanks to Theraline, she managed to sleep better as well as banish the backache. When I then fell pregnant again earlier this year, my cousin duly returned the pillow to me, and although it helped, something wasn’t quite right. The maternity pillow is filled with microbeads, which, as with any bean bag, lose their oomph over time and through the night, I would find that I had pushed the microbeads to the top and bottom of the pillow, leaving me with a saggy hole in the middle. I contacted Theraline and asked if there was any kind of ‘top up’ bag that I could get hold of, and indeed there was. It arrived quickly with easy-to-follow instructions on how to refill the pillow, which I managed to do (with the help of Hubby) in less than an hour (some basic sewing skills were needed).
I am very pleased to say that my Theraline Maternity Pillow has now been restored to its former glory and is supporting me through a comfortable night’s sleep once again.
It’s funny how with each pregnancy, you filter out the not-so-important things, and others just come straight to the forefront of your mind; the Theraline was one of the top 5 items that I knew I would need again, and I was right, it is proving to be invaluable once again, and I have no doubt that it will be accompanying me to the hospital again to keep me comfortable in labour and (with a freshly washed pillowcase) will be supporting me whilst nursing too!
