Party planning can be really stressful especially for first timers and if you are a busy parent with a full time job it may seem like you are staring down the barrel of a gun. But have no fear; there are some tricks of the trade that, if followed, will give you a stress free child’s party to remember.
First you have to decide on the venue, you could hire out a venue which might relieve some of the stress of party planning but this can be really expensive and a party at home is often more personal. If you decide on your home as the location, you will have to choose the area of your home best to use. Think about the amount of children, and parents, likely to attend the party and approximate the amount of room needed. A big garden area is perfect for all kinds of party games but remember to check the weather!
The next thing to do is get the invitations out, if you add an RSVP you will have a rough estimate of how many guests will attend. If you come up with a theme for the party it will give you much more direction in terms of decoration, food etc. and fancy dress is always fun for kids and adults alike!
If the party is not a birthday but for another occasion, say Halloween remember to get your Halloween costumes in early, for your child and yourself, this way it will be less stressful nearer the date when all of the shops have sold out!
Win £50 cash! It’s really simple, just write a review or send in a picture of yourself wearing a fancy dress ball costume or product and you could be in with a chance of winning the monthly prize draw, visit the Fancy Dress Ball website to enter.
