Our Weekend In Pictures – 07/07/14 – #OWIP

Our weekend began very well with a Baby Sale which Karin and I organised, it was the first time we had done anything like this but we did ok. There was definitely room for improvement and we know how we would do things differently next time (and there WILL be a next time).

During the afternoon we popped into Peterborough to visit B&Q to price up a couple of DIY jobs we have in the pipeline as well to buy some fixings so that we could finally get Curly’s TidyBooks Bunk Buddy onto his wall. The afternoon was far from stress-free as the Beans were all tired, grumpy and most definitely NOT in the mood for walking around B&Q. Sadly our day descended very badly and bedtime couldn’t have come around soon enough!

Sunday was marginally better, it started with Beanie Boy’s pre-school leavers party. He had so much fun with all his friends and it makes me so sad that he will no longer be at preschool with his friends and his ‘ladies’. He had a little cry to me on Friday night when we were talking about his party as he said that he will “really miss his ladies” when he moves to his new preschool – we will miss them too!!

In the afternoon I took Little Bean to Boots Opticians to have her annual eye check. This time in their lives is so important to keep a check on their eyesight as this is when the most damage can be done and if caught early enough, problems can be rectified so I make sure we keep up to date with her checks. Thankfully her eyes were given a full bill of health and the Optician commented that she has better than 20/20 vision which is great news.

We returned home from town early so that we could return to our family tradition which has taken a bit of a backseat lately. The return of #familyfilmnight saw us watching a Disney Classic – Tarzan which everybody loved.

Jelly Bean has recently been named the ‘food thief’ as he steals everyones food (more commonly my food) and tonight was no different. We all have a bowl of popcorn each for #familyfilmnight apart from Little Bean who has Rainbow Drops. Jelly Bean sat nicely eating his to begin with then he spotted LB’s Rainbow Drops and decided that he wanted some too so he grabbed a handful and put them in his bowl. Next he went to Beanie Boy and stole a handful of his popcorn and put it back into his bowl and then he tried Daddy’s bowl but was distraught when Daddy told him no!!

How was your weekend?

  1. Hi Sabina

I’m loving the pictures of Little Bean, Beanie Boy and Jelly Bean. They are such wonderful children and I always look forward to seeing them when they come into work.

How could anyone resist Jelly Bean’s face and not share the food. I would share my food with him and I don’t often say that.

Vicky (I work with your Mum)
