I first saw The Lion King nearly 20 years ago on our first Valentine’s date. It was a surprise organised for me by my [now] husband. That first opening note gets me right in my chest and makes my emotions soar. A few years later, I took my Mum to see it, and she felt the same, so we have been waiting for the right time to take the Beans, which came last weekend.

Unforgettable Musical Score

The Lion King

One of the musical’s greatest strengths is its iconic score, featuring timeless classics such as “Circle of Life,” “Hakuna Matata,” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” The live orchestra, combined with the powerful voices of the cast, elevates these songs to new heights. It’s impossible not to be moved by the sheer beauty and emotion of the music, which can transport you to the heart of Africa.

In fact, we loved the musical and the music so much that we chose “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” as the first dance at our wedding 17 years ago.
