I have loved doing arts and crafts since I was a little girl myself, anything from lace-making to painting, knitting to jewellery making. I like to try anything given half the chance, so when I was asked if I would like to review this Deluxe Charm Bracelets kit I couldn’t wait to get started.
When I opened the kit I was surprised by just how much there was in the kit, it says there is enough to make 2 bracelets, including 2 gift pouches, 10 charms, 8 dice charms, 80 eyelets (enough for 40 beads), 10 charm split-rings, 7 colours of polymer clay, 3 bags of glitter, 2 colours of craft foil, a storage box and tools as well as a 20 page step-by-step instruction booklet.
The last time I made something with polymer clay I was probably about 11 years old so that was only a few years ago (I wish!). I followed the instructions in the booklet and decided to jump straight to the marbled effect beads which were really easy to do and very effective. The only colour which I found problems with was the black, I wanted to create a black and white zebra style bead but the black colouring came off my fingers and made the white look a little bit dirty so I disguised it with a bit of silver glitter.
Once I had finished making the beads I popped them in the oven for 15 minutes at 130C and then left them to cool for 15 minute before making up my bracelet. I don’t think I should be expecting any calls from major companies wanting me to design their beads for them but my excuse is, it was late and I have two poorly children and one poorly Hubby!
The Deluxe Charm Bracelets would make a great present for children aged 8-99 years and with a bit of imagination will create a beautiful bracelet to admire for years to come. Why not make loads of different beads so that you can chance them to match your outfit?
