You have probably seen a few blog posts flying around at the moment with some really gorgeous canvasses of family photographs, treasured children and memories. Well I too was offered the opportunity to receive a special canvas of my choice from Photo-canvas.com but it takes me AGES to make up my mind.
Some people love nothing more than to have a large photograph of their children on their walls (which is fine), but I’m not like that; I like to update my photographs often because I take so many of them. Committing them to Canvas would seem like such a waste to keep changing them, so I was just about to politely decline the kind offer when a blog post caught my attention by my lovely friend Jax at Mummy’s Little Monkey. She gave me the inspiration I needed to rethink my answer, and I’m so glad that I did.
The guys at Photo-Canvas were really helpful as I’m a bit of a perfectionist; I sent them this photograph together with a photograph of my kitchen and said that I would like it made into a piece of pop art, which would fit in with my kitchen colour scheme. The very next day, I received proof of the artwork, which had been created by hand. Hubby and I were a little unsure as to whether Curly’s face looked a bit too harsh, so I shared my concerns with Photo-canvas, and they came back with this version; they had lightened up his glasses and his eyes, and we were much happier, so I approved the proof and took delivery of my artwork the following day. How’s that for good customer service? just look at the finished product; it looks pretty swish, doesn’t it?
That’s amazing. I use Photobox and I had no idea they commission specialist artwork. I personally want a whole wall dedicated to canvasses as I can’t stop flicking through pics of Dexie.
I really love it, it’s one of those pictures that I know I will want to always have on display 🙂
