Forgot You Made Yourself A Coffee And It Went Cold

Coffee is one of the best drinks in the world and we love it so much because of the caffeine and taste. But most of all, we love coffee because it helps us to be more productive and gives us a boost when we need it.

Drinking a cup of coffee is a common morning routine for most of us. Every day before work, a lot of people will look forward to having a cup of coffee before starting the day. But what happens if you completely forget about your beverage?

Here Are Some Solutions

Forgot You Made Yourself A Coffee And It Went Cold

If the coffee you’ve been waiting for is cold, you’re not alone. When it comes to our favourite caffeinated drinks, we know that they don’t stay hot forever. But what do you do when your drink goes from piping hot to lukewarm and then downright cold? It’s time for a little creativity! Here are some top solutions for saving a cup of coffee that went cold.

1. Use A Thermos

This solution is the most straightforward and requires no extra equipment or ingredients. If you know you’ll be enjoying your drink in a few hours, pour it into a thermos for coffee before heading out the door. That way, when you make it to the office, your drink will still be piping hot. A great feature of a thermos is that it will keep your drink warm for up to 6 hours. There’s a variety of different sizes and price points when it comes to thermoses, so you don’t have to worry about breaking the bank. You can find them in all colours, patterns, and materials.

Using a thermos is great because you can take it wherever you go. For example, you could bring your drink with you to the park or on a hike. You can also use them when going for a trip or a picnic. That way, you’ll always have a hot drink to keep you company.

2. Add Cream Or Milk

Another option for rescuing a cooled-down cup of coffee is to add some cream or milk. This method will actually heat up the drink again, so it’s one of your best bets if you’ve waited too long. One way to do this is by simply pouring in some half and half or another cream substitute. If you don’t mind an iced coffee drink, add in some cold milk and stir until the drink is mixed well. This will still give you a cool coffee beverage, but it will be better than nothing. That way, you can enjoy your drink while it’s refreshingly cold (but not watered down). Also, if you like iced coffee, you can mix in some additional flavours such as sugar, vanilla, or other sweeteners. There are plenty of recipes found online for creating your very own iced coffee drinks.

3. Use Your Microwave Or Stovetop

Coffee gone cold

If your cup of coffee has cooled down completely, it’s time for some more advanced methods. If your lips aren’t stuck to the mug and you don’t mind a few extra steps, you can use your microwave or stovetop to reheat your drink. You’ll have a freshly brewed cup of coffee in no time! Don’t microwave it for longer than 30 seconds because it could burn.

If you want to use the stovetop, pour the cooled coffee into a smaller saucepan. Turn your stove on low heat and stir the coffee until it has heated up again. This should take less than 5 minutes, depending on how much you’re reheating.

4. Add Hot Water

This method isn’t as effective as the first three, but it can still work. One way to restore a cooled-down cup of coffee is by adding some hot water to the mug and stirring it well. This will add some flavour and taste to your drink, but it won’t be as strong or delicious as when you first made it.

The best way to fix a coffee that has cooled down is by using one of the methods listed above. You can use your thermos, add some cream or milk, microwave it for 30 seconds, reheat on the stovetop in less than 5 minutes – or even just pour hot water into it.  Now that you’re armed with these tips on how to fix your cold cup of coffee, you’ll never be left without your favourite beverage again. You can also use this knowledge when camping or at the office – just heat up some water and pour it into the mug! Soon, you’ll have a steaming hot drink in your hands once more.
