It started with the ankle boots
Despite the fact it’s flipping freezing at the moment, I kind of like that you get to layer up your looks to add warmth and style. Autumn/Winter is my favourite time of year for footwear, I LOVE boots! In the past I have pretty much stuck to knee boots but recently I have found a love for ankle boots and mid-calf boots.
My personal preference is a biker-style boot which looks great when teamed with a leather jacket and knitted dress, it’s feminine but edgy and not too girly.
Dress-ing up!
I really like this knitted dress from Zalando with it’s detailed neckline and flared skirt, teamed up with thick tights or leggings it would be perfect for a day shopping or winter walk hand-in-hand with someone special. You could wear it with a contrasting vest top underneath for extra warmth and a splash of colour or just team it up with a hat and scarf as I have done here.
A jacket for all seasons
The jacket from John Lewis is one which would look great dressed up or down. Imagine pairing it with skinny jeans and a chunky scarf or even with a floaty maxi-skirt or dress in Spring/Summer, a leather jacket like this is always a winner.
