Getting ready for Christmas with John Lewis #QBlogger

November 23, 2016 By: Sabina Green 0 Comments

If there is one shop I look forward to visiting over the Christmas period it’s John Lewis, it’s a shop I remember visiting in my childhood with my Mum and my Nanna, I can remember looking at all of their Christmas decorations (and usually getting static shocks off them too). John Lewis just always manage […]

6 Perfect Pyjama Sets for a cosy Winter’s night

September 29, 2016 By: Sabina Green 1 Comments

Despite the fact that Summer is most definitely my favourite season of the year, I do love a good Winter’s evening. Coming home, closing the curtains on the dark night and slipping into a pair of pyjamas to relax on the sofa with warm milky drink, the latest blockbuster film and snuggle up with Hubby. I have […]

There’s still time to order your Photo Gifts with PhotoBox!

December 16, 2015 By: Sabina Green 0 Comments

One of the most well-received gifts that we ever give to family and friends at Christmas are the Photo Gifts from PhotoBox. I have been using PhotoBox since the Beans were babies to create Calendars, Diaries, Photobooks, Canvasses or just to order prints. The one year I ran out of time to get them ordered, […]

Give the gift of Learning with Math Whiz Maths Challenge

December 13, 2015 By: Sabina Green 1 Comments

I remember when I was a child one of my favourite toys was the Little Professor, a handheld game toy which asked mathematical questions and kept score. It’s tag line was “Not a calculator and much more than a toy”, it was a ‘toy’ that I played with for years and I know without doubt […]

What the Beans are playing on Nintendo #4

December 4, 2015 By: Sabina Green 0 Comments

The Beans always remind me how much they love the fact that I am a blogger when they receive a new download code for one of their Nintendo consoles so I have been a very popular Mummy these last couple of weeks with a number of new releases coming our way. New Style Boutique 2: […]

Experience gift ideas that the kids will love

November 26, 2015 By: Sabina Green 0 Comments

Generally thought of as a gift for adults, an experience gift provides a great chance for nippers to fuel their imaginations or burn off some excess energy. In fact, there are experience gift ideas for even the youngest of children to enjoy, including things you can do as a family or in pairs, so you […]

Christmas Gift Ideas from Dandy Kids

November 26, 2015 By: Sabina Green 0 Comments

I’m such a sucker for Christmas that I could go on buying gifts for people because I just love putting smiles on faces. I particularly love buying gifts for the children, all that colour and so many cute things. I recently discovered The Dandy Kid website, a company based in Buckinghamshire and there are sooooo […]

Great gifts for girls this Christmas

November 20, 2015 By: Sabina Green 0 Comments

Maybe it’s because I’m female, I don’t know but I always find it so much easier buying for gifts for girls at Christmas. Perhaps it’s because there are always pretty little knick knacks around for girls?? To prove a point, this year as we are approaching Christmas I have already managed to finished Little Bean’s […]

Two very happy boys ❤️❤️ . As I expected O Two very happy boys ❤️❤️
.
As I expected Ollie was ready to go to school early this morning, he was so looking forward to being back in the classroom with his teacher and friends.
.
Albie... as always took a fair bit longer to get ready but he got there in the end. He is just like me in that he will not be rushed, always in his own time 😆
.
If there is one thing I am so grateful for with all of my Beans, it's how they just take everything in their stride. Lockdown hasn't really bothered them at all and neither has the prospect of going back to school. They just take it that is what is happening and go with it.
.
Lillie is still at home for a few more days as she has to be Covid tested before she is allowed to return. I think she not-so-secretly likes the peace and quiet without the boys at home. I am hoping we can get out for a few walks together this week whilst is it just us girls.

A beautiful day ❤️ . I am so grateful that we A beautiful day ❤️
.
I am so grateful that we were a full family of six today, our last day together before the boys return to school tomorrow and we take a tiny step back to 'normality'.
.
It was a beautiful day so we went for a lovely long walk and scoot. We took the gimbal and the drone out with us and captured some fun footage so hopefully I can put together a fun little video of our day.
.
This evening I need to hit the sack early in the hope of getting the boys to school on time, it's been a while and I am definitely out of practice 🙈

Woohoo we did it again!! Homeschooling is over and Woohoo we did it again!! Homeschooling is over and we are still friends 🤣 though to be fair there were a few ropey days along the way.
.
We finished at lunchtime today and enjoyed a scoot at the park which was lovely to blow away the cobwebs.
.
It was the perfect end to our week and the start of our weekend. I hope you are all celebrating tonight, we certainly are.
.
I still have mixed feelings about my Beans going back to school, even with the odd stressful day I love having my small people at home with me. They are my besties and we do have lots of laughs together.
.
Life is always an adventure with these guys (and their Dad and big brother) around ❤️

Today is World Wildlife Day and if there is one th Today is World Wildlife Day and if there is one thing that we are looking forward to as a family when the lockdown is lifted, it's visiting some of our favourite zoos.
.
This photograph was taken at @twycrosszoo (this is not an ad), we have worked with Twycross in the past but even so, it still remains one of our favourite places to visit as a family.
.
Twycross is a member of the Species360 and has Conservation Breeding Programmes for the majority of their animals to ensure a future for species which are on the brink of extinction.
.
I took this photograph in Chimpanzee Eden a few years ago when Eden was first opened to the public. This particular Chimpanzee knocked on the glass to catch the attention of the man whose hand he is reaching out to. I said to the man "I think he likes you" and he said that he used to work with him so the chimp recognised him. Moments later another chimp ran across the enclosure to say hello too and my heart burst.
.
I have so many happy memories of that afternoon and others at Twycross with my family, We can't wait to head back there and see all the beautiful animals. They must wonder where everyone has gone.
.
My daughter Lillie sponsors a baby Mountain Gorilla which is a gift from her godfather, Apes have always been close to our heart. We support animal conservation as a family regularly.

HE DID IT! . Albie has always been frightened abou HE DID IT!
.
Albie has always been frightened about learning to ride his bike. We have tried persuading him every way we can but he wasn't having any of it.
.
Last Thursday I took Lillie and Ollie out for our first bike ride of the year and Albie was so upset that he couldn't come with us (it's OK we left him at home with Dad, he wasn't alone).
.
It turns out that was the push he needed because on Friday morning he asked if he could have his bike out at break time.
.
He squealed with delight as he cycled for long stretches without his stabilisers off the ground.
.
When he had finished his schoolwork I asked if he wanted to try taking his stabilisers off and he said yes.
.
We started him on grass first with me at the back and Lillie and Ollie on either side. He had great balance so we went onto the drive and he nailed it first time.
.
After that there was no stopping him, he has been on his bike all weekend and even for a ride out with me to see the horses.
.
I am so proud of him and so happy for him, he is over the moon with his efforts ❤️

#ad . As our children prepare to head back to scho #ad
.
As our children prepare to head back to school, do you worry about their loss of education? It's something that always bothers me during the Summer holidays so being away from school for the best part of a year has definitely got me worried.
.
Simon and I have tried our hardest to ensure that our children have stayed on top of their schoolwork but we are not teachers. I know that at times we have confused the issue more than we have taught.
.
On more than one occasion over the past year I have toyed with the idea of a private tutor to help Albie.
.
I was contacted by @tutorful.co.uk to see if we would like to review them. They provide online tutors who are fully qualified /retired or graduates in their final year. They offer lessons in all subjects for children from Primary, through Secondary School, University and even adult education.
.
Albie has had two lessons with a tutor I selected. You can read our full review on the blog today, we were so impressed we are looking to book more sessions for him in the future.
.
How do you feel about your child's loss of learning?
