I don’t publish content simply because it’s popular or likely to generate traffic. If I don’t believe it offers real value to my readers, it doesn’t belong on Mummy Matters.

When I share personal experiences, they’re always clearly presented as exactly that—my own experiences. Every family is unique, and what works for us may not be the right approach for everyone.

Personal experience is incredibly valuable, but it’s only one part of creating trustworthy content.
When appropriate, I research articles using reliable UK sources, including government guidance, the NHS, recognised charities, educational organisations and subject specialists.
Where possible, I also include expert opinions and professional insights to help readers make informed decisions.
Respect and inclusivity
Families come in all shapes and sizes.
Mummy Matters welcomes and respects every family, regardless of background, structure or parenting style.
My aim is never to judge or criticise, but to provide supportive, balanced information that allows readers to make the choices that are right for their own circumstances.

Every article begins with an idea that has the potential to help another family.
That idea might come from:

Once a topic has been chosen, I research it thoroughly, compare information from trusted sources and add personal insights where they’re relevant and helpful.
