It’s so easy when shopping online to check out all the fashions for yourself but it can be fun to look at clothes for your other half and put together style boards. We have a busy couple of weeks ahead of us with a few dates on the horizon to look forward to so I have been looking at Spring fashion for men and thinking about how I’d like to style my man.
All this lovely spring weather is filling me with the promise of sunny days and walks in the park so I really like this strong sporty look. Hubby looks smart and slim in nice t-shirts and really suits bold colours. He has only recently started to wear slim jeans but looks great in them as he has an athletic build with strong legs and polo shirts show off his strong chest and arms too.
In a couple of weeks I shall be celebrating my 40th Birthday. We have a few different celebrations planned, one of which is brunch followed by a matinee trip to the theatre so we shall be dressing a little smarter for the day. Hubby is an out and out shoe man, so I started at the shoes with this outfit and worked my way up. I love this neutral look, it’s smart without being stuffy and will be comfortable to wear. Hubby has a Henri Lloyd shirt which is one of his favourites so I know that he would love this shirt because they fit his build so well.
One of my most favourite looks for men (and women) is the nautical look! Hubby is itching for the warmer weather to get here so that he can break his shorts out for the Spring/Summer. This is a Spring/Summertime perennial style that looks great year on year because it’s such a simple and clean look. It could be smartened up with a nice blazer or dressed down with a casual jacket. You could even top it off with a Greek sailor cap.”
I created these styles whilst Hubby was out of the house and showed them to him when he returned, I’m pleased to say that he liked all three looks and would be more than happy to wear all of them but chose the ‘Go Sporty’ look as his favourite.
How would you style your man?

My man loves his converse – but I don’t style him – he has his own style and would prob object to the interference! Tho if we have to go to a wedding or somewhere requiring smart he does always ask for advice then!
My Husband quite fancies himself for his fashion sense, I sometimes think he is more up with fashion than I am!!
Ive tried to convince mine to wear Converse, but he is having none of it, he prefer Biker boots x
Your Hubby sounds like me, I always like the idea of Converse but I never feel like they suit me. I’m more of a flip flops or boots girl 🙂 x
I’m not sure my hubby would allow me to interfere either! He’s more into his clothes than I am I think! He does enjoy a compliment (who doesn’t?), but he’s quite comfortable choosing his own clothes. And to be fair he doesn’t embarrass me! ????
Haha, sounds very similar to our household. When I am having one of those “I don’t know what to wear” moments I ask Hubby for his help and he always manages to pick me out a great outfit, better than I would have chosen for myself 🙂
I like the sporty look too and nautical stripes are a real classic.
After publishing this post I realised about a quarter of my wardrobe has stripes, I need to branch out a little 🙂
I need to get hubby some new polo shirts, he managed to dye his white ones pink lol
Aha lessons in washing needed there then 😉
I style my husband and have no shame in admitting it! I keep thinking i should get him some Converse…shoes are not the thing we share opinion on though tbh!
Haha, good luck with that one then 😉
The only man in my life is my 13 year old son. I’ve been trying to get him in converse but he’s just having none of it
Aww there’s no persuading a teen is there once they have set their mind 😉
