I always remember back to my early working years at a small firm of Solicitors where many of the ladies I worked with drank Herbal teas and fruit teas. One day one of the ladies made me a cup and I just didn’t get it. It wasn’t that I didn’t like the flavour but at the time I was a Breakfast tea drinker through and through, I didn’t like coffee either. Fast forward many years to being pregnant with Little Bean and I started drinking herbal teas to help soothe my Acid Reflux and later Raspberry Leaf tea in preparation for labour. Since then I have tried just about every flavour of Herbal Infusion or Fruit Tea there is and I love the majority of them.
We have a Whittard shop not far from where we live and I love that they do small taster cups because it gives me the opportunity to try a new tea and know whether I like it or not before making my purchase. Plus they always have lovely little gift sets which make perfect presents for Mother’s Day, Birthdays and well just about any other occasion that you would like to treat someone.
With our current cold climate there’s nothing nice after picking up the children from the school run that closing the curtains, grabbing a blanket and snuggling on the sofa with the Beans and a cup of Apple & Mango tea. Or how about a Mojito Herbal Infusion to treat your guests as an after-dinner drink? Mojito Tea is an invigorating and refreshing blend which includes spearmint and peppermint leaves and the natural flavouring of rum. You’ll be impressed to hear Mojito Herbal Infusion is just £4 a box.
My absolute favourites though are the Berry Teas, they smell divine and they taste mouth-wateringly delicious. The Very Berry Blast ignites the senses with rosehip shells, raspberries, blackcurrants, elderberries, blueberries and piquant hibiscus flowers. Perfect as a hot tea or served as a cooling cocktail in the summer with crushed ice and chopped fruit.
What’s your favourite herbal infusion and why, I’d love to discover new favourites.
