What are GearHooks?
We are excited to introduce the British company, GearHooks to you! GearHooks are wall-mounted storage hooks that work great for your home, garage or workspace. They come in many sizes and attach easily to the wall with screws or drywall anchors. GearHooks have a sleek and modern look whilst storing your bike or gear in a safe and organised way.
Like most great inventions, GearHooks was borne out of a space frustration to store the family’s increasing number of mountain bikes. GearHooks Founder Luis Prtak, a qualified mechanical engineer with more than 40 years of experience, decided to do something about it and set to design a solution.

We were given the Garage Bike Storage for 5 Bikes system we fitted last weekend. It took us longer to clear the space than to install the bike hooks. You begin by attaching the GearRail to the wall by drilling a new hole for each of the three wall screws. Once the rail fixes to the wall, you need to add the GearHooks at intervals along the rail using an Allen key – and that’s it! The GearRails come in various colours to match your decor or colour code your rails as an easy way to organise your equipment.

Benefits of GearHooks vs Regular Bike Racks
Regular bike racks are not the best way to store bikes at home. They are expensive and take up a lot of space, making them even more cumbersome when you have multiple cycles. Gearhooks are more cost-effective and take up less space. These hooks allow storing bikes vertically, which saves a lot of space in your garage or basement. You don’t even need to lift your bike to store it (which was my worry). You roll the bike towards the wall, lift the front wheel and hook it into the special hooks.

The gearhooks sound like they’d be useful for people with bikes. I’ve not seen those before. It’s great that they are a more cost effective solution to storing bikes than bike racks.
