With the half term holidays almost upon us it’s time to start thinking about how to entertain the children. What better way to keep them entertained than with some fun crafting ready for Halloween. As a family we always decorate our house for Halloween, the children love it and look forward to it every year. Some of the decorations we make ourselves, others are shop bought but it’s all about having fun together.
If you’re looking for some Halloween Crafts to do with your children then check out Wayfair who have 6 FREE Halloween Printables online for you to download and have fun with. I am loving the Bunting and the Foldable Treat Packs, children never really know whether to take one week or a handful so if you load up the packs with a couple of sweets each then just give children a pack each, everyone gets an equal amount!
I have mixed feelings around Trick or Treat, I completely agree with the whole argument about sending your children out is a bit like ‘begging’ but at the same time, most of the Bean’s friends go out and so we don’t want them to feel left out. We only visit houses of friends or people who are clearly decorated up for Halloween or displaying Pumpkins but we never actually ‘trick’. As for the sweets, when we get home we make sure that everyone has an equal amount of sweets and their Pumpkin pots go away in the cupboard as their ‘reward’ pots for when they do something that deserves a treat.
This year we are also attending a Family Halloween Party which should be good fun, everyone gets to dress up (even me and Daddy) so the Beans will have a blast. I haven’t got a CLUE what I’m going to wear, at the moment I only have a witch tattoo for my face so I had better get my thinking cap on!!
How do you celebrate Halloween?
