Lighthouse Iona Coat Review #ad

Lighthouse clothing first came under my radar a few years ago when we were invited to review clothing items for the whole family. We were impressed from the moment we opened the parcel, and apart from the clothing which the children have outgrown, those chosen by the adults are still wearing well today. That’s the sign of a good brand.

Say hello to Spring

With the promise of Spring around the corner, it’s time to start looking to slightly warmer weather, sunshine and, of course, April showers. I love the Spring for all its beautiful flowers and look forward to long walks with my family. This year I will have the warmth and wet-weather protection of the Lighthouse Iona coat I chose in Sunrise, beautiful sunshine yellow.

The Iona is windproof, breathable and waterproof. It is insulated and padded without being too heavy and the striped lining is soft and cosy to wear. The coat has a curved shirt hem which sits at hip length to protect from the wet days. The hood can be detached if not needed but provides warmth and protection from the elements.

The microfibre peach finish makes the coat supersoft and comfortable, as well as extremely tactile for children wanting to hold their Mummy’s hand! There are two outer pockets with side entry and an internal breast pocket which is perfect for a mobile phone, keys or purse.

As you can see on the day that I wore my Iona for the first time there was still snow on the ground and it was FREEZING! My fingers were not happy. I wore my new Star design hoodie purchased from Liven Boutique with a simple t-shirt underneath and was plenty warm enough in my body. I just need to find some good gloves for my hands.

Iona Options

If Sunrise isn’t your colour, don’t worry; it is available in Khaki, Pink Raspberry and True Blue. It is also available in a slightly longer 3/4 length if you prefer your coats to be that little bit longer. The Long Iona coat is available in Sunrise, Midnight Blue, Deep Teal and Grey.

I love the sound of the coat. It would be perfect for the chilly mornings when we start doing the school run again. The colour options are great too.
