One of the best things about hiking in the United Kingdom is that there are walking routes suitable for every level of experience. Whether you are a beginner looking for a gentle countryside stroll or an experienced hiker wanting a challenging mountain trek, there is something for everyone.

Many routes across the UK are well-maintained and clearly signposted, making them easy to follow and accessible for visitors. Families can enjoy shorter scenic walks through national parks and villages, while more adventurous hikers can take on routes such as Ben Nevis in Scotland or Snowdonia in Wales. If you want to fly somewhere near the UK to try something slightly different, a hike in Guernsey would be extremely fun.

Beautiful sceneries

The weather isn’t always favourable in the UK, but the scenery is. The UK is a beautiful place to be, which ticks so many boxes when it comes to natural beauty. You have it everywhere you go, whether in the countryside, watching a waterfall, or you are hiking along the coast, looking out along the clifftop. No matter where you decide to hike, there is always something picturesque waiting around the corner.

Visit London after your walking holiday

One of the advantages of hiking in the UK is that you can easily combine your walking holiday with a city break. After spending days exploring the countryside and coastal routes, many visitors choose to head to London to relax and experience a completely different side of the country. Getting to London from a lot of the hiking holiday spots is also very easy to do as well, with trains being available or public transport, like buses.  Have you done a walking holiday in the UK before, and if so, what was your experience like?
