Fire-breathing dragons will soon soar through the universe of PLAYMOBIL. The popular toy brand announced a licensing agreement with DreamWorks Animation on “How to Train Your Dragon,” with a collection of original PLAYMOBIL sets due to be released in fall 2017. For the first time ever, PLAYMOBIL’s 2017 product line will include licensed playsets inspired by famous entertainment properties.
The tale of a young Viking named Hiccup and his unlikely friendship with a dragon has made its way to cinemas and screens all over the world. The thrilling action-adventure saga is adored by families and critics alike due to its original story and strong messages. Looking at a broad fan base of boys and girls 3 to 11 years old, “How to Train Your Dragon” has also become a successful Top 10 license for DreamWorks Animation. With PLAYMOBIL, the fantastical world will now be translated into the form of the beloved play system, which enjoys immense popularity among kids of the very same target group all over the world.
The new PLAYMOBIL Dragons sets will be a “must-play” for all fans of Hiccup, Toothless, and the dragon riders of Berk, allowing them to meet their favorite characters and play out familiar and new adventures in their own playrooms.
