I’m the founder and editor of Mummy Matters, a UK family lifestyle publication that has been helping parents navigate everyday family life since 2009.
As a mum of three, proud stepmum and business owner, I know first-hand that parenting is full of incredible highs, unexpected challenges and plenty of moments where we simply wonder if we’re getting it right.
That’s why I created Mummy Matters—to share honest experiences, practical advice and well-researched information that helps families feel a little more confident and a little less alone.
My Experience
For more than 17 years, I’ve been writing about the realities of family life as my own children have grown from babies into teenagers and young adults.
That means many of the topics I write about come from lived experience, including:
- Parenting through every stage of childhood and adolescence.
- Blended family life as a stepmum.
- Child development and school life.
- Teen mental wellbeing and family relationships.
- Family routines, organisation and home life.
- SEND referrals, assessments and supporting children with additional needs.

Whilst every family is different, I hope sharing both the successes and the challenges helps readers feel understood and supported.
My Approach
Every article I publish starts with one simple question:
“Will this genuinely help another family?”

Where appropriate, I reference guidance from organisations such as the NHS, GOV.UK, recognised charities, educational bodies and subject specialists to ensure articles are accurate, balanced and practical.
I also believe in being transparent. If an article contains personal opinion, sponsored content or affiliate links, that’s always made clear to readers.

Although my greatest education has come from raising my own family, I’m committed to continually developing my knowledge.
