At Mummy Matters, trust is everything.
Since launching the website in 2009, my goal has always been to create honest, helpful content that genuinely supports families. Whether I’m sharing parenting advice, reviewing a product, writing about a family day out or partnering with a brand, my commitment to readers always comes first.
This page explains how reviews, collaborations, advertising and affiliate links work on Mummy Matters, so you can always understand how content is created and how the website is supported.
Editorial Independence

All editorial decisions are made independently by me, Sabina Green, Founder and Editor of Mummy Matters.
Whilst I occasionally work with brands, tourism organisations and PR agencies, these partnerships never influence my opinions or recommendations.
If I don’t believe a product, service or destination will benefit my readers, I won’t feature it.
Likewise, if my experience isn’t positive, I won’t publish a misleading review simply because something has been gifted or paid for.
My readers’ trust will always be more valuable than any commercial opportunity.
Product Reviews
Products featured on Mummy Matters generally fall into one of three categories.
Purchased by Me
Many of the products I recommend have been bought by my own family and are included because I genuinely believe they’re worth sharing.
Gifted for Review
Sometimes brands provide products, experiences or services for editorial review.
Receiving a gifted item does not guarantee coverage, and it never guarantees a positive review.
If I choose to write about a gifted product, every opinion expressed is entirely my own.
Press Events & Family Travel
I occasionally attend press events or accept invitations to experience family attractions, hotels or destinations.
Where accommodation, tickets or hospitality have been provided, this will always be clearly disclosed within the article.
Any recommendations reflect my genuine experience and are written with my readers’ interests in mind.
Sponsored Content
From time to time, Mummy Matters publishes sponsored content.
Sponsored articles are clearly identified using labels such as Advertisement, Ad, Sponsored or similar wording in line with UK advertising guidance.
Whilst brands may provide a topic, campaign brief or key information, the article is always written to match the editorial style, values and audience of Mummy Matters.
I only accept sponsored partnerships that I believe are relevant to families and provide genuine value to my readers.
Affiliate Links
Some articles contain affiliate links.
If you click one of these links and make a purchase, I may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you.
Affiliate income helps support the running of Mummy Matters and allows me to continue creating free content for readers.
I never recommend a product purely because it pays commission. Recommendations are always based on relevance, research or personal experience.
Advertising
Mummy Matters may display advertising provided by trusted advertising partners.
Advertisements are separate from editorial content and do not influence the topics I choose to write about or the opinions expressed within articles.
Competitions & Giveaways
From time to time, I host competitions and giveaways for readers.
Prizes may be supplied by brands or promotional partners.
Where applicable, entry requirements, eligibility criteria, opening and closing dates and winner selection processes are clearly explained within each competition.
Transparency
Whenever content has been:
- sponsored,
- gifted,
- created as part of a paid partnership,
- contains affiliate links, or
- involves complimentary travel or experiences,
this will always be made clear within the article.
I believe readers should always know when a commercial relationship exists.

- Sponsored articles
