Thanks to the chickenpox which plagued the start of our Summer holidays we didn’t get to spend as much time with our friends as we would have liked to but we managed to catch up with them before we were heading off for our final holiday of the Summer.
On a cloudy afternoon we took the scooters over to Burghley House for a catchup with Karin, Ella and Sam. It was one of those afternoons where the time passed without too many stresses, the Beans and their friends got to feed the deer whilst Karin and I managed to have a reasonably uninterrupted chat.
After all our visits to the various farms over the Summer holidays the Beans have become quite adept to feeding animals so they didn’t hang about at the chance to feed the deer at Burghley. Even Jelly Bean grabbed a handful of grass to feed them.
This one particular deer was very friendly indeed but she did seem to have a cold as she kept sneezing all over us. Yuck!
When the Beans were playing in amongst the trees I couldn’t help but be reminded of one of my favourite films; The Sound of Music where the children were hanging from the trees in their play clothes. Thankfully ours kept the feet on the floor!
