There’s something magical about disconnecting from the digital world and plugging into real-life fun, and for us, Wychwood Festival 2025 is the perfect excuse to do just that. After our unforgettable first visit last year, we’re heading back to Cheltenham Racecourse from 30th May to 1st June 2025, ready for another round of sunshine, sounds, and screen-free bonding.
Wychwood Festival: Our Happy Place

Nestled beneath the Prestbury Hills in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside, Wychwood Festival isn’t just another festival. It’s an unmissable family-friendly festival that brings people together with music, laughter, creativity, and a whole lot of joy. The festival takes place at Cheltenham Racecourse, and after experiencing it first-hand, we can honestly say it’s a highlight of our year.
Last year, we danced in the sunshine, crafted to our hearts’ content, and discovered a bunch of new bands across three stages. The kids were in their element with all the activities for all ages, from arts and crafts to rides, and even the children’s literature festival. It truly lived up to its title as a nominated best family festival at the UK Festival Awards.
Wychwood Festival 2025: What We’re Excited About

This year, Wychwood 2025 is back and better than ever, and our excitement levels are through the roof! With Scouting for Girls, James, Shed Seven, Zutons, Daniel Beddingfield, Lucy Spraggan, Lottery Winners and Sam Shrouder all on the lineup, we’re set for an epic weekend of singalongs and new favourites. And yes, PE with Joe Wicks is on the agenda too now that I know I can sleep in as it doesn’t start until 11 am – we will be stretching those limbs and shaking off the screen fatigue with the nation’s favourite fitness coach!
It’s not just about the music, either. The Beans are all really excited to see Lost Voice Guy after cheering him on when they saw him on Britain’s Got Talent in June 2018 – can you believe it was that long ago? That’s just ONE of the comedians, there will be 6 hours of daytime comedy, so we will have to plan our time so that we don’t miss our favourites.

Wychwood also brings 100 workshops for all ages, from healing gardens to crafts and games. We’re planning to hit the headphone disco, check out the spa, and Ranger Rae and the Wildlifers. Of course, we will also be spending time at the Circus skills tent brushing up on the skills we have been honing at festivals for the last 8 years and soaking up everything that Wychwood offers.
Join Us at Cheltenham Racecourse

Wychwood Festival takes place at Cheltenham Racecourse, and getting there couldn’t be easier. National Express runs coaches to Cheltenham that arrive at the Royal Well bus station and the railway station, with direct services from Cardiff and London, Bristol and Birmingham, and even Edinburgh and Glasgow. Check out the National Rail website for times and prices.
For an environmentally friendly way to get there, cycling is a cheap and cheerful option, and buses run regularly between the town centre, bus station and the railway station. Parking is available too, with easy access to the campsite to unload your vehicle. The 11 and 11a buses also run from Cheltenham train station passing close to the festival.
Camping, Comfort, and Boutique Options

Whether you’re into full-on glamping or basic tent life, Wychwood Festival has camping options to suit everyone. We loved waking up to the sound of laughter and music drifting across the field and soaking up the atmosphere. There’s something so grounding about sipping a morning cuppa in the open air while planning the day’s adventures.
