I still remember when I believed in Santa and the magic it held for me, so I want to keep that magic going as long as possible for the Beans. I have been using the free version of Portable North Pole since it began 8 years ago and the Beans now ask me from mid-November if Santa has sent them a video message yet, eager to find out if they made it onto the nice list.
This year we have been selected to review the Portable North Pole Gold Pass. With the Gold Pass (only £9.99) you can create and download as many videos and phone calls as your heart desires. I have had great fun in creating the videos for the Beans and this year I selected different videos for each of the Beans since they commented last year how they were all the same and the elves all did the same things. I guess that’s a downfall of having lots of siblings who sit and watch your videos with you.
Creating the video takes around 5 minutes and it is worth every minute of effort and more!! By adding photographs of the child, their family, the gift they are most hoping for and a picture of their home they feel like Santa really knows them and the look on their face is purely magical.
When creating the videos you can choose between 7 new storylines as well as access the all-important verdict from Santa . . . will they be on the Naughty, Nice or Almost Nice list? On the day I created the Beans’ videos we had one on the Nice List and two on the Almost Nice list but as the day wore on and I planned to show them their videos their behaviour improved so I decided to switch them to the Nice List. In the time it took me to switch Santa’s verdict, they managed to get into a fight so I gave up on my plans to show it to them straight away and so it continued for the next couple of days. Finally last night I was able to sit them all down and show them their messages and the delight on their faces when they were all on the Nice List.
The fun doesn’t stop there though, you can create videos for adults too so perhaps Hubby needs a subtle reminder when he missed an important date? Or maybe a colleague at work could do with a giggle and some Christmas cheer! Let Santa be the one to deliver the message! You can send video messages or phone calls, I haven’t had a chance to create a phone call yet but I have listened to a couple because I know the Beans might need a little reminder from the big man a little closer to Christmas. I shall definitely be creating them special Christmas Eve videos too.
