Where are you baby?

So today is the baby’s due date, but I’m still sitting here typing on my blog, so I guess that means nothing is happening so far! Apparently, only 5 per cent of babies are born on their due date, and 40 per cent are born later.  Since Little Bean was born 2 weeks late, I think it’s fair to say that I must have a comfortable uterus so they aren’t in a hurry to get out.

Where are you baby

This weekend has been like a rollercoaster of emotions: one minute, I’ve been having serious pains, on my hands and knees, rocking back and forth, thinking, “Here we go.” the next, the pains have gone totally, and I’ve been able to get on with life in general.  When the pains start, I initially want them to stop (because they hurt), but then I remember, “No pain, no gain!”.

With Little Bean, I tried all the old wives’ tales for getting things moving – I think I ate about 15 pineapples (never show me a pineapple again!), I had hot curries (which didn’t help the acid indigestion), went for bumpy car rides, had sex, drank raspberry leaf tea but still nothing would make her budge.  I decided that babies will only come when they want to, so it’s a case of sitting back and waiting for him to make his own decision.

You may notice from my recent posts though, I am definitely struggling to keep my mind on track – I’ve read back through my posts over the past two weeks and have seen that they don’t really flow.  Concentration is a big no-no in my head right now, so perhaps that means I’m not too far off meeting my little man?  Fingers crossed, my “writing” will return to normal once the big event is over and my mind has started to cope with the evermore sleepless nights!  Please bear with me xx
