Well, that wasn’t so bad!

Last Wednesday it all began, we started the first of our two house moves for this year (not like we do this every year though!). We had lots of great help and support from good friends and family, thank you everyone we couldn’t have done it without you! Today I am sat in my new lounge and can walk pretty much all the way through the house without a box in sight (unless you open the dining room door which is stacked wall to wall with the boxes we aren’t opening until the new house) and already this feels like home – even if it is only for a couple of months until we have to do it again.

I’m amazed at how smoothly the move has gone. Being 5 months pregnant I obviously was not allowed to do all of the lifting, this was left mainly to the men but my biggest worry was how the children would be and I have to say I’m so proud of Curly and Little Bean. They have both settled really quickly and without upset. Little Bean struggled a little on Friday as there was so much going on she found it difficult to take a nap so now she is still playing catch up but even being overtired she has been brilliant.
We even took her move one step further and decided to put her into her junior bed from the first night here and she LOVES it!! She actually keeps asking if she can go to bed. I’m sure we’ll have hiccups along the way but so far we are 3 nights in and she has still been sleeping through the night and waiting in bed in the morning for me or Daddy to go and get her out.

I just hope that the next move will go as well as this one and then we can finally settle into family life again and await the arrival of little Algiebump (Curly’s nickname for our baby boy).

[…] Little Bean has come on in leaps and bounds this year, in May I was overflowing with pride for my little girl and then when we moved house, she impressed me even further when we moved her into her big girl’s bed! […]
