Tommee Tippee is a name synonymous with babies, its been around for years and used all over the world so its no surprise to learn that their products have recently won Gold, Silver and Bronze Practical Parenting Awards by Parents and Judges.
Gold was awarded for the Bottle and Teat, Closer to Nature Bottle, Feeding Equipment for the Closer to Nature Milk Feeding Bibs and in Baby/Toddler Health – for the Closer to Nature Healthcare and Grooming Kit
Silver was awarded for the Closer to Nature Manual Breast Pump and Bronze for the Closer to Nature Microwave Steriliser.
I have been lucky enough to receive the Steriliser, Healthcare and Grooming Kit and Milk Feeding Bibs to review.
Closer to Nature Microwave Steriliser
In my mind this is a brilliant Microwave Steriliser package. Included in the box are the steriliser, a 150ml easi-vent Bottle, a Pure soother, cleaning brush and a pair of teat tongs. The steriliser itself holds four Closer to Nature bottles with spaces for the bottles, uprights for the teats and a centre area to put the bottle lids. You only need to microwave for 4 minutes on full power for a standard 1000watt microwave.
The lid locks securely onto the steriliser and then doubles up as a sterile worktop for preparing the milk. Being white with a clear lid it also “looks” sterile which is a design feature I really like and its compact which is great for use at home or travelling. We often go on self-catering holidays so its handy to be able to take the steriliser with us to use on holiday. The contents will remain sterile for up to 24 hours if the lid has remained unopened. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is expecting a baby and plans to bottle feed at some point. I’m a breastfeeding Mum but I express so that Hubby can feed Beanie Boy too.
The package is great value for money at £12.00 from the Tommee Tippee site.
Closer to Nature Milk Feeding Bibs
I loved these bibs so much I went out straight away and bought another two packs of them. Beanie Boy is a very sicky baby and they have a padded collar which fits snugly around his neck which stops the sick from gathering in his collar and making him sore and smelly. They are made from a supersoft fabric which is comfortable for him and they velcro at the back for easy fastening. These are ideal bibs for milk feeding and teething, they will be a staple garment in Beanie Boy’s wardrobe for some time to come.
The bibs retail at £4.00 for 2 bibs or £8.00 for 4 which is quite pricey but honestly they are well worth it!!
Closer to Nature Healthcare and Grooming Kit
This kit contains everything that you need to keep your little one looking in tip top condition as well as an oral thermometer to keep a check on them when they are under the weather. It comes in a handy compact carry case which is perfect for keeping it all together so you’re not searching through the bottoms of drawers for things (unless Hubby has taken them out and not put them back –ahem!) and also great for travelling. As with all Tommee Tippee products they are of a high quality and will stand the test of time.
Digital oral thermometer, toothbrush, brush, comb, scissors, nail clippers, 2 x emery boards and a nasal aspirator.
The RRP is £14.95 which is really good value for money as you can pay this for a digital thermometer alone.
