Last night my Thinking Slimmer journey began. As I went to bed I popped my earphones in and pressed play on my Slimpod – Drop a Dress Size, laid back, closed my eyes and just listened. The voice on the Slimpod is very gentle and relaxing, as I listened I felt soothed and could feel all the stresses from my day just washing away. I couldn’t even tell you what he said (this doesn’t matter) as I just let myself go and drifted in and out of sleep. It does actually say in the instructions that it’s ok to fall asleep when listening to your Slimpod as your ears will still hear and your mind will still take it all in. After a little while I realised that the Slimpod had finished to then I pressed play on my Fitpod and honestly, that is the last thing I remember until I woke up this morning feel very bright and refreshed.
I am not a person who falls to sleep easily. I rarely take time out for me to just sit, my ‘me’ time is spent in the gym a couple of times a week. The rest of my time is spent entertaining the children, taking care of the usual household chores and when the children have gone to bed, my laptop switches on to catch up with my work until midnight or sometime after and at a weekend I work in a local craft shop. When my head finally hits the pillow each night, my mind is whizzing with all of the things that I haven’t done, that I need to do and that I want to do. Sleep for me does not come quickly so I was totally shocked at how quickly I dropped off last night and how fresh I felt this morning.
According to the instructions I must listen to my Slimpod and Fitpod every evening for the next 21 days to reap the benefits – well, if I get a good night’s sleep like that every night then “bring it on” I say . . .
Stay tuned for the next installment!
