The Gallery – World Photography Day

Woburn

Ideally I would have liked to post a photograph of my children for this week’s theme, something to look back on and treasure but those pesky kids just weren’t playing the game this weekend and evaded my camera with such ease. But today, on the day that my baby turned 11 months (yes only 1 month to go until my baby turns 1 year old, where has the time gone?) we visited Woburn Safari Park courtesy of Hyundai UK to test drive the new i40 Tourer and I guarantee you there will be more photographs and posts to come because I had a field day with my camera.

I have not zoomed in or cropped this photograph at all, this is the EXACT photograph that I took from the driver’s seat as this beautiful lioness strutted towards our car. I tried to block her path slightly to see if she would stop at the side of the car but she just ‘nudged’ past the front as if to remind me whose ‘home’ it was. She was HUGE and although you can’t see it from this picture had lots of blood on her front right paw where she had obviously just been enjoying her lunch, a pretty good reminder to keep the doors and windows shut if you ask me!

I loved that on the weekend of World Photography Day I was able to visit a safari park because I just love taking photographs of such gorgeous creatures and Woburn Safari Park has a fantastic array of animals in the best condition I have seen of captive animals for some time. I can’t wait to share the rest of my pictures with you . . . .

Oh! How beautiful is she? Such a sleek and strong animal. You do want to just pet them and cuddle, but there’s always that reminder…. LOL
