If there’s one thing that Hubby and I love doing, it’s creating outfits. Not necessarily for ourselves but creating looks and styles for other people is fun. Today I’m sharing with you an outfit we have put together for Melvin for The Fashion Undateables competition being run by House of Fraser. To be in with a chance of winning the competition we need to create an outfit for either Melvin or Jarrod, the Fashion Undateables. We have chosen to #StyleMelvin.
First Date Plans
Date Style – Picnic/BBQ
Place – Sand Dunes overlooking the beach

First Date Style
Looking through House of Fraser Menswear Hubby did get a little distracted and began shopping for himself but eventually we chose these Tommy Hilfiger shorts because as you can see from the picture of Melvin above, he isn’t afraid of bold patterns and rather than scare a potential date off with brights, we decided that a bold pattern in a muted colour would keep some of Melvin’s personality in a less ‘in-your-face’ style. From the shorts we then chose this Paul Smith t-shirt to match which has a small Zebra logo as a symbol of Melvin’s travels and a touch of fun.
Melvin looks like a guy who wants to be comfortable and at ease which these boat shoes would offer whilst looking stylish too. We wouldn’t want Melvin to be late for his first date
so he needed a nice watch which would compliment his outfit. As you can see from the picture above Melvin likes hats so we sourced him this trilby which would look great with his outfit and could be shared with his date for a cute selfie pic!
Hopefully it will be a warm mid-Summer’s evening when Melvin heads out on his first date so he shouldn’t really need to wear his TM Lewin jumper but as a romantic gesture he can offer it to his date for bonus points and the icing on the cake would be Penhaligon’s Sartorial aftershave which means ‘styling, tailoring, clothing’ and will help him to stand out from the crowd and smell irrisistable to his date.
