Oh to have a spare £100 . . .

Family – we might not have it all together, but together we have it all!

Family

I love this quote because family means everything to me and whilst we may not have everything our heart desires right now, we are working towards it one step at a time, together.

I have been asked by TSB to consider what I would spend a spare £100 on. With a TSB Plus Account, the maximum interest you can earn in a year is £100 AER (5% AER on up to £2000) so they wondered how I might spend that £100 interest. Would I give it to charity? Would I pay it forward, treat the children, or treat myself? Maybe I would divide it up and do all of these things?

Well as you can imagine having the four Beans keeps us pretty busy. Hubby has a demanding job and my work takes up a lot of evenings and free time so to have an extra £100 to spend there would be no better thing to spend it on than a day away from everything as a family having a great day out.

As you will see through many of my old posts we all love nature and animals and would love nothing more than to pack up a picnic and head for Colchester Zoo. We went a few years ago when we only had Curly and Little Bean so to now take them back with Beanie Boy and Jelly Bean would be fantastic. Colchester Zoo was the best Zoo we have been to and was a great day out. The 6 of us could go for the day and still have change from the £100 for a McDonalds on the way home.

What about you? How would you spend a spare £100?

  1. Right now, all spare cash is going towards three expenses-two fun, school trip for daughter and family trip next summer, and one to replenish the savings tapped into to help our son out of a financial jam.
