October Half Term 2013 – Monday

Today has been pretty much all about me and Little Bean spending time together. Beanie Boy was at pre-school and Jelly Bean has been catching up on sleep and crawling around our feet. Whilst it was ‘just us girls’ when Jelly Bean was sleeping we decided to do a spot of baking and trying out the Morphy Richards breadmaker we have borrowed from our friend Karin. Little Bean LOVES bread, she eats loads of it and loved her school trip to the local bakery where they watched how bread is really made.

Monday

I admit that using a breadmaker is a cheats way of doing it but hey at the moment that’s how we roll! Little Bean had lots of fun helping me get the ingredients together and measuring them for our bread. Even without me getting out the recipe book she was able to tell me most of the ingredients I needed.

I don’t think she realised just how long the bread would take though as she insisted on standing over the breadmaker whilst it did it’s work and wanted to watch. I think she lasted about 15 minutes before finally giving in. The final result was great though, between us we managed to polish off almost half of the loaf it was soooo yummy!

During the afternoon we did a little more crafting, played with some lego and chilled out on the sofa – today was a good day!
