My Birthday Wishlist – 2018

Squeeee my birthday is fast approaching this week, I shall be 42 this year and I still get excited about my birthday – I shall always be a big kid! So here’s a little insight into what’s on my birthday wishlist . . .

Canon G7X Mark II

Canon G7X MkII

It wouldn’t be a birthday list if I didn’t have a camera of some description on it and this year I am coveting the Canon G7X Mark II. Don’t get me wrong, I have loved using my Sony A6000 BUT it doesn’t sit well in my pocket for an everyday camera so I tend to use it in the same vein as I would my Nikon DSLR.

  • A powerful pocket-sized camera with a bright lens, large sensor and DIGIC 7 to capture expert quality photos and movies with ease
  • Shoot and share stunning Full HD 60p movies with creative control, Touch AF for cinematic focus pulls and 5-axis Dynamic IS
  • Easily connect to your smart device, shoot remotely, then share or back up your creations using Wi-Fi* with NFC and Image Sync
  • Enjoy simple creative control with a Lens Control Ring, intuitive touchscreen operation, 14-bit RAW and Picture Styles
  • PowerShot G7 X Mark II Battery Pack NB-13L Battery Charger CB-2LHEAC Wrist Strap NS-DC12 AC Cable User Manual Kit

Bamboo Wrist Watch

Bamboo watch

One of my favourite items of jewellery is a pair of earrings I bought in Covent Garden years ago which were made from coconut. The only trouble I have is that I never feel they go well with my watches . . . but then I saw this beautiful Bamboo Wrist Watch from GiftsOnline4U which will work well with the natural theme that I like to wear in the Summer. This one in particular will make a perfect gift from the children as it can be personalised with Mum, Nanna, Aunt or any other ‘Best Ever’ and include who it’s from if you are looking for engraved gifts for her.

The watch body is made from Bamboo which not only gives it a beautiful, natural look but it is extremely lightweight too. The strap is a wooden sport-style one with a metal fastening and a 40mm diameter watch face with clear numbering. It all comes in a presentation box too which will protect it from being scratched when I not wearing it. I can’t wait to get my hands on this baby and start wearing it with my Summer wardrobe. There are so many beautiful engraved watches but I particularly liked this one.

Couples Spa Break

Couples spa

Last year Simon and I went away for our 10th Wedding Anniversary to Stratford-upon-Avon which was lovely. This year I would love to get away with him for a Spa break so that we can relax and unwind together. We both work full on all the time and squeeze in days out, activities and getaways with the children whenever we can. We both think it is so important to have some alone time too, it’s a chance to reconnect and be ‘us’ instead of Mum and Dad even if just for 24 hours.

Rose Gold Backpack

Oasis Betty Backpack

Since becoming a Mum I have discovered how flipping amazing it is to have a backpack instead of a handbag. When you have more than one child a backpack is the perfect accessory because it leaves your hands free for your little ones when out and about, plus they are usually equipped with loads of pockets to store all of your essentials. This year I am LOVING Rose Gold so would love a Rose Gold backpack like this one from House of Fraser to see me through the Summer months.

Shopping spree at Mint Velvet

Mint Velvet

Honestly it would be easier for me to tell you what I don’t want from there at the moment than it would to show you what I do want. I lost a considerable amount of time perusing the rails in John Lewis last week. Mint Velvet have some beautiful tops, trousers and dresses for the season in their new range. I particularly love their cocoon dresses and the new shoulder-tie dresses, I also quite fancy a pair of capri pants for the Summer too as I only ever seem to wear jeans at the moment.
