  1. ‘Mother’ means sleepless nights, 24 hour working days, no sick or holiday BUT also limitless love, affection and fulfilment x

  2. My mother to me means comfort. She’s always there for me and makes me feel comforable even in odd situations.

My mother means home to me, my mom is always where my home is. She raised me, took care of me and loved me.

My mother means love to me. She’s kissed all the boo-boo’s. Hugged away the pains. Cleaned up the spills and has loved me through the best and worst times of my life. I may have let her down plenty of times, but she’s never stopped telling me she loves me.

My mother, to me, means courage. She’s gone through a lot in her life. But, she’s kept a good spirit about it all and has never stopped trying to do what is right.

  3. To me mother means…….

M is for Maternal, loving and kind
O is for Open, to whom i can confine
T is for Trusting, a secret to share
H is for Honest, always fair
E is for Emotional, bursting with love
R is for Respect, to you i look above

  4. My mother died when I was a young child, but I was brought up by my nan who I called Mum, to me she was what a mother is all about selflessness and uncondiotional love.

  5. Being there for your kids through thick and thin. Praising their accomplishments and encouraging them in everything they do. Loving them unconditionally. (this is in FB comments too – I wasn’t sure which one to do so did both, hope that’s ok!)

  6. It means everything to me, when I think about the word in association to my own mum, it means the one person in the world that I will always be able to trust.
& when I think of it in association with myself, it means protecting, loving & being there for my children with every last breath.

  7. A pretty formal word IMO! I prefer mum or mummy which to mean sound more like what the word represents. Love no matter what, a cuddle whenever you want one and someone you can tell anything to.

  8. Mother is the person who takes care of you when you are sick, loans you money when you are broke and holds your hand when your heart is broken.

  9. The word Mother means to me – The person that is always there when you need someone and even when you don’t. A person who always puts their child before themselves. A role model, protector, comforter and also a best friend.
