Milkshake! Stars DVD Review

Milkshake! StarsWe first discovered Milkshake! waaaay back in 2009 when I first started blogging. We had been invited to a special Milkshake! blog event at London Zoo where the Little Bean got to meet some of the lovely Milkshake! presenters and it was then that her love for the channel was cemented. Along came Beanie Boy and Jelly Bean and now of course Little Bean has educated them as to the must-see shows on Milkshake!

Mornings are generally the time when the Beans get to watch the most TV as they are allowed to watch it before school if they have got washed, dressed, teeth and hair done plus bedrooms tidied. I find it a good incentive to get them to help plus it keeps them entertained long enough for me to hop into the shower and get ready for the school run.

The great thing about Milkshake! is the variety of shows means there is something for everyone so it saves on the arguments (my lot would argue with themselves if they looked wrong in the mirror!) so it was a joy to be sent the new Milkshake! stars DVD to review over the Summer. The DVD features over 2 hours of fantastic fun which can be watched from start to finish or just in bitesize chunks whichever takes your fancy. This DVD is perfect for in-car entertainment when you have a long journey and more than one child to keep happy as they get to take it turns to choose a show that each of them likes.

Little Bean loves a good pirate story so it was Pip Ahoy for her where Pip helps the mice pirates to use their treasure map to find the Salty Cove Treasure. Beanie Boy loves Bert and Ernie in Bert and Ernie Meet the Lochness Monster which has also prompted lots of interesting conversations about sea monsters and lake monsters and as for Jelly Bean, to be honest he just likes to watch anything with a happy tune as he is a musical boy who at the moment is only interested in dancing and that’s just fine by me.

Milkshake! Stars DVD is available to buy today and features 15 full length episodes of great shows; Peppa Pig, Thomas & Friends, Little Princess, Fireman Sam, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom, Toby’s Travelling Circus, Pip Ahoy, Angelina Ballerina, Bert and Ernie, Bananas in Pyjamas, Olly the Little White Van, Chloes Closet, Tickety Toc, Igam Ogam and Jelly Jamm.

There is also the Milkshake! Live Tour hitting theaters across the UK. For more information on the tour click here.
