Maternity Portraits

As we are planning on this being our last baby, I’ve been toying with the idea of having some maternity portraits done to capture the bump forever.  I thought about doing a belly cast but I’m honestly not too sure what I would do with it afterwards?  When I was pregnant with Little Bean I took some black and white self portrait pictures when I was 41 weeks and I love them, I won’t be showing them here as they were totally in my birthday suit but very tastefully done.

At the weekend, Hubby took a photo which we might put up in the en-suite at in our new home but I would like to do something more with Hubby and the children.

imageI really like this picture with the children’s and Hubby’s hands, and at least we won’t have to worry if anyone is pulling a funny face?

I would love to have a picture like this with Little Bean kissing bump, but she isn’t great at posing for photos so I guess we’ll have to wait and see if this will happen.

The trouble is, I don’t really know what to wear?  All of my maternity jeans are the full corset type which cover the bump and I’m not really a “shirt-wearing” sort of person so I don’t have tops which could be left open to expose the bump.  I’m not the most confident person when it comes to having photographs taken of me, particularly when I’m feeling the size of a house – ok I know I’m pregnant but you know what I mean!

Did you have photos taken when you were pregnant?  What sort of pictures did you go for and what did you wear?  Can you give me any advice????
