Let Tesco Healthy Living Range do the hard work for you . . .

I could have sworn I had already told you about the new Healthy Living Range but perhaps I have been so wrapped up in eating it lately that I completely forgot to actually write about it? Who knows how my brain works these days????

Anyway, I digress! Since just before Christmas I have been trying my very hardest to lose weight. As I mentioned in this post, I had been doing SlimFast shakes but they aren’t exactly ‘real’ are they? They don’t teach you about what’s good to eat, portion sizes etc, it’s just easy and to be honest, that’s the reason I had been doing it.

A few weeks ago I was asked if I would be interested in trying out the new Tesco Healthy Living range and I saw this as the perfect opportunity to look at what I was eating, to get myself used to correct portion sizes and to consider different food groups (I tend to be a bit unadventurous – rather like Little Bean!) so I approached the chiller cabinet in my local store with an open mind and bought one of each of the ready meals dishes they had in their range to try. I had been provided with a voucher towards the range and luckily for me the were on a special 3 for 2 deal at the time so I was able to save myself a bit of money too.

My favourites were: Sausage and Root Vegetable Mash, Spanish Tomato Chicken, Moroccan Chicken with Vegetable Cous Cous and Ham & Mushroom Tagliatelle. Hubby liked all the spicy dishes although he did say that they were pretty spicy for the dishes, I would normally order a Chicken Tikka from my local curry house but he said that there was no way I would have eaten the Healthy Living one (I’m a bit of a spice wimp!).

From today until the 25th February you can try out a number of the Healthy Living range dishes yourself at the special price of 2 for £5.00. They are a great alternative if you’re short on time to prepare a meal or if like me you want to get an idea of what and how much to eat. Go on, treat yourself!!
