How to train your dragon Playmobil Playsets

The Beans really are so very lucky, on a brief break at home between our camping trips in the Summer holidays, they received a large box of goodies from Playmobil, the leading manufacturer of preschool toys. The latest range from Playmobil, How to Train Your Dragon, is the second entertainment brand licence which they have released following the success of the Ghostbusters range (check out our review).

How to Train Your Dragon

How to Train Your Dragon

How to Train Your Dragon is an animated action-fantasy film and TV series produced by Dreamworks Animation loosely based on the books of the same name by Cressida Cowell. The stories are set in the mythical land of Vikings and follow a teen named Hiccup who wants to become a dragon slayer like the rest of his tribe. However, Hiccup captures his first dragon and chooses to befriend it, rather than slay it. The film, How to Train Your Dragon 3 is due for release in cinemas on 1st March 2019.

Berk Playset

Playmobil Berk

The Island of Berk is where all the action happens, Vikings and dragons come together to train and protect their home, keeping trouble at bay. The Berk playset is a two-storey fortress with a working catapult, with boulders, to help the Vikings defend Berk from up high as well as a flaming crossbow and a winch system to transport the island’s supplies. Both the torches and the Viking statue illuminate (batteries required).

Included within the set are Hiccup with a flame sword, and Stoick play figure (Hiccup’s father).

This set has been a ‘resident’ in my lounge since it arrived because the Beans all keep playing with it. We even had the neighbours’ children around a few weeks ago and they loved it too. How to Train Your Dragon is such a popular show and it resonates with boys and girls alike. Having the Berk Island playset means the children can reenact their favourite scenes as well as create new adventures of their own.

Dragons Hiccup & Toothless with LED Light Effects

Playmobil Toothless

Hiccup and Toothless are the perfect accompaniment to the Berk playset and the favourite characters in the Mummy Matters household. In true night fury style, Toothless shoots blue darts from his mouth and features illuminated back spines (1 x AAA battery required). Hiccup and Toothless are a formidable duo who fight to protect Berk and the island’s people. Hiccup sits nicely on Toothless’ back to help him fly.
