You might recall that I was asked a while back if I would like to review Interflora’s flower delivery service but I chose to forgo flowers and receive a lovely pair of bay trees for our garden instead. Well they are still growing strong and look stunning, so when I was asked if I would like to work with Interflora again I decided to make someone else’s day and ordered an exquisite bouquet of large-headed roses, lillies, germinis, lisianthus and chrysanthemums AND a box of chocolates for my Mum. My Mum has been having a really bad run of luck this year, she lost her job and has struggled to find a new job that she is happy in. Friends have disappeared from her life and she is just not the happy-go-lucky person she used to be so I had them sent to her at work as I thought the flowers would brighten her day.
Mission accomplished, to begin with she thought it must be some kind of mistake – no-one ever sends her flowers, her work colleagues thought she must have a secret admirer but after a quick phone call to me she was more than happy to accept them. They didn’t sort out her job but they made her happy and reminded her how much she’s loved.
