Hotter launches their Spring/Summer range

Hotter VIP Event – Peterborough

I was recently invited to attend the Hotter VIP Event at our local store in Queensgate Shopping Centre, Peterborough. This is an event which I have been going to for the last couple of years and have come to look forward to each season.

What is a Hotter VIP Event?

A Hotter VIP Event is an event which usually takes place during the late afternoon/early evening in local stores as a way of introducing their best customers to the new range which in the shops. Customers are selected and sent a special invitation to the event and often will be given a special discount on goods bought at the event as well as receiving a VIP Goody Bag to say thank you.

At Peterborough’s Hotter, the Store Manager, Danielle, arranges drinks and nibbles as well as other local retailers to attend offering treats on the evening. This can be anything from a facial with Liz Earle to a foot massage from Lush or hair styling with GHD.

Spring/Summer 2017 Highlights

At the latest Spring/Summer 2017 VIP Event we saw more of the classic Hotter Originals range which have been specifically chosen for their comfort, style and British-made quality. I bought a pair of Hotter Originals Shake shoes back in the Autumn and they are such a great shoe to wear throughout the day, a real treat for your feet.

For the Spring and Summer Hotter have launched new colours and some gorgeous patterns, if you like a good print. I knew that I wanted another pair of Shake for the Summer and was very hard pushed to make a choice between the red and the navy/floral pattern. Which pair did I choose? Read on to find out . . .

As soon as my VIP Invite arrived in the post I knew there was one shoe in particular which I was hoping to see and thank goodness Hotter didn’t let me down. At the end of last Summer I discovered the Resort Sandals, albeit a little too late as the Soft Gold Metallic that I fell in love with were out of stock in my size and I had missed the boat.

It’s lovely to see so many pretty floral prints in shoes, last year I stopped wearing pumps because of the pain in my ankles and had seen a few floral print pumps that I liked. This year I have my custom made orthotics so I can get back into pumps again and still have pain-free ankles. My favourites are the Tara in Beige Floral and the Leopard Print because they are so funky.

In the end I chose the Shake in Red and I’m so pleased with my purchase, I have worn them pretty much every day since I got them and they have appeared on my social media pages a few times as a result receiving lots of positive comments. The red is a really rich red and looks great with my jeans. I love a nautical look so I think in the end this was what swayed my decision. Having a high instep I have to wear shoes that sit quite high up my foot or have a strap so the Shake are the perfect fit for me and I can still wear my orthotics too.

As I told you above, I knew that I wanted the Resort Sandals but when I got to the store and tried them on in white it was a struggle to decide between those and the Gold, in the end the Gold won out BUT the season has only just begun and I did get a £10 voucher in my goody bag so I might have to go back and get them in white too. Watch this space . . .

Thank you for my Goody Bag

On the night everyone who made a purchase received a special VIP Goody Bag which was stocked with lovely gifts from retailers around Queensgate. I received a lovely Luxury Scarf from Hotter (RRP £29.99), a clutch purse (RRP £19.99), yummy chocolates from Hotel Chocolat (sorry I ate them without photographing them – do you blame me?), Prosecco Gummies from Lakeland, a free mini pamper treatment at Liz Earle, a free smoothie from Boost, perfume samples, Muffins from Muffin Break (also eaten), samples from The Body Shop and a special voucher for a free meal for two at Pret-a-Manger which my Mum and I enjoyed last week (post to follow soon) as a thank you for my assistance in promoting the event.
