Every night before I go to bed I creep into my children’s respective bedrooms and marvel over how perfect they are and give them a last kiss goodnight before telling them I love them but don’t you just hate those nights where you have to stifle a scream as you stand on a car or building brick that your beloved little darling has left strategically in your path! Well the clever people at Mattel have come up with a great toy which saves you from the pain of a toy in the foot AND allows your children to leave their toys out ready to play the next morning.
Hot Wheels Wall Tracks are exactly what they say on the box, Hot Wheels tracks are wall mountable for floor free fun. Of course the other bonus to these is if you have small bedrooms with little floor space for playing, the wall track could be mounted above the bed. The wall area needed to mount the starter set is 3ft x 3ft and the track comes with very clear and easy to follow instructions (although if you prefer there are step-by-step instructions on the website too). The track attaches to the walls with 3M command strips which hold the tracks up but can be easily removed without damaging the walls. Phew – that was a worry for me in a new house with nice new plaster!
The starter kit is available to buy at £29.99 with expansion kits starting at £16.99 so the tracks can be changed and added to so as to keep play fresh and exciting. As the cars whiz around the tracks they can change the ramps and directions so that the cars travel a different route, if the car goes too fast they can fly off randomly around the room but I only see that this adds to the adventure for the children.
Since I decided to take away the children’s TV in the playroom I am loving how much more the children are playing with and seem to appreciate their toys so Hot Wheels has been a welcome addition to our house.
