Those of you who know me or have read my blog in the past will know that last year was not a good year for me and my family. Sadly last year we had an ectopic pregnancy AND a missed miscarriage!! So in October, we decided that enough was enough for “making babies” for 2009 and so we enjoyed the festive season and had a few well-earned drinky poos!
Let the celebrations begin
TODAY, I and Hubby attended our local maternity unit for our 12-week scan and we’re very happy to announce that all was well and our baby was wriggling about like a jumping bean!
The past couple of months have been hard to hide for me this time around as I have been very sick, very tired and very bloated!! I’ve had to come up with all manner of sick bugs and excuses for the way I’m looking and feeling.
After the events of last year, we were determined that we would keep it to ourselves until the 12-week scan – just to be sure. The last time we said that we wouldn’t tell before 12 weeks BUT we did and then we felt like we had jinxed ourselves.
This time we made it to 9 weeks but had to tell our parents as we had a scare when I suddenly started bleeding. We had another mad dash to A&E where it all started again, blood tests, repeat visits and eventually a scan which revealed that everything was fine. I really could have kissed the Consultant when he uttered the words “that’s all ok” – I think I did actually say “I love you!” and this time we cried tears of joy.
Hopefully, this will carry on to be a happy, healthy pregnancy – PLEASE! xx

I am so pleased for you all, I know you have already heard that from me – I didn’t mention it before but when I saw the pic you sent me it brought a tear to my eye. You deserve this to go smoothly nd morning sickness is a good sign. Oh and it was actually a surprise to me so you covered it well!!! Although now I know I don’t know how I didn’t guess lol!!!
