Countdown to Christmas–Day 6

It has been a tradition for as long as I can remember, every year Mum and I have a day out Christmas shopping somewhere special.  It’s a day that we both look forward to, we go shopping numerous times throughout the year but our Christmas shopping day is permanently inked into the calendar and is one day out not to be missed.

Today was our day, though of course this year we were not alone!  This year we were four!!  Mum, Little Bean, Beanie Boy and myself headed off to the shops, armed with our shopping lists and two pushchairs – because its easier than one – we get to share the responsibility of two demanding children.  Shopping trips aren’t like they used to be, shopping with children isn’t generally very productive – especially when one of them is a newborn who needs feeding every three hours and the other is two years old and has a limited attention span.  To be fair, its not exactly very interesting being stuck in a pushchair all day so we let her off for being a complete whinge-bag bit grumpy.

I wasn’t overly impressed with the multi-storey car park where we parked the car, because there were no lifts!! So with two pushchairs we had to walk our way down the ramps to the bottom of the car park and then enter the shopping centre from the street, not very helpful.  But that was on the only downside to our shopping trip, the rest of the day was lovely and VERY successful because YIPPEE I finished my Christmas shopping!  I still have a couple of little projects to complete online but I’m pleased to say I don’t need to set foot in another shopping centre this side of Christmas!

Now for the really boring fun part – wrapping!! Over to you Hubby darling! x

I so wish I could handover the wrapping to my husband… I just about get him to wrap his family’s stuff but it’s generally under protest.

    Lovely to meet you yesterday!

Thanks, was lovely to meet you too – just very short and difficult to concentrate with Beanie Boy being there too.

As for the Hubby – I know I’m very lucky, he does all the jobs I hate! xx

Well done for shopping with 2 kids at Christmas – I’ve been saying I miss UK Christmas shopping but thinking about it I don’t think Id like it with a buggy and moaning toddler (let alone a newborn) I’m impressed 🙂

I have to say it wasn’t the easiest, there was much bribery involved with Little Bean but we got there in the end. When out and about with Hubby or Mum though it was made easier by taking two single pushchairs instead of one double! Have a great Christmas x
