Celebrate your little one’s Champion Moves with Pampers and Jessica Ennis-Hill

As a family our baby days are almost behind us, this Summer I am hoping to start the potty training journey with Jelly Bean and this actually fills me with a tinge of sadness. Looking back through old videos and photographs of my ‘babies’ I can’t help but smile and shed a little tear at how far they have come from those first gurgles, giggles, words, bum shuffles and steps. Being Mummy to my gorgeous little Beans has offered me years of Champion Moves to celebrate and I hope that in time I will be celebrating many more with them, it’s one of the best parts of parenting; that feeling of pride at watching your child grow.

From the very beginning of my parenting journey Pampers have been there to ensure my babies have been comfortable and free to move around without having to worry about a saggy, wet nappy to slow them down or make them unhappy. Pampers are the only nappies to feature the revolutionary NEW Magical Pods – channels designed to absorb the wetness evenly to provide a sag-free fit and superior dryness.

To move like a champion requires practice and round the clock devotion and most importantly, a kit that will enable the best performance. Research shows that babies move so much in the day they can take as many steps as a marathon runner in just 24 hours* and just as the world’s greatest athletes need a durable kit, babies need a nappy that offers the best comfort and protection – a nappy that will allow them to move freely, without restriction, throughout the day.

Jessica Ennis-Hill is now new Mum to her own little champion, Reggie, and has partnered with Pampers to launch the Pampers Little Champions Campaign – shining a light on the next generation of little athletes and encouraging parents to celebrate their own little champions too.

As an athlete at the top of her game, Jessica knows how important it is to have the best kit to help her perform. Likewise, she knows how important it is for her baby to also have the freedom to move in comfort:

Jessica says:

As a mum I love being active with Reggie – we have so much fun together and I know that it’s great for his development – that’s why I’ve teamed up with Pampers to encourage mums to celebrate their little one’s champion moves! Our babies are the future generation of medal winning athletes after all…’

Pampers understand that being able to move freely, and in comfort, is beneficial towards babies’ development. Pampers Love, Sleep & Play expert, Dr. Ellie Cannon explains how research shows that an opportunity to move is an opportunity for movement development to happen:

Feeling physically free and uninhibited whilst being supported and safe is an important part of a baby’s exploration of the world and physical development. Babies don’t need instructions to learn – they learn through self-discovery and encouragement from those around them. That encouragement comes in all forms: not just a clap from mum and dad, but also being unrestricted in their clothes and nappy. Freedom to move without restriction is a key aspect of your baby’s development environment’.[1]

With this in mind, it’s not surprising that freedom of movement is freedom for your little one to reach their potential!

  1. I think a good nappy is worth its weight in gold ( medals….lol) both in reducing nappy rash and to make sure your little one gets a good nights sleep.
Love to see the big names working together to benefit their customers.
Amazed at the pictures of getting them all to sit nicely all at the same time, I struggle to get the twins in the same picture.

  2. It’s definitely important to find a nappy that keeps your baby as dry as poss so theres no waking because of leakages. Those facts about how many steps babies take are very impressive x
