Back to School: Stuck on You Tools 4 School & Giveaway

It’s hard to believe that almost three weeks of the summer holidays have passed already, where does the time go?  Many parents (like me) have already got everything sorted for the next school year (or the start of school like Little Bean).  I go with the idea that once it’s all out of the way, we can get on and enjoy the summer holidays and make the most of our time together.

I was asked if I would like to review items for Stuck on You and I thought this would be a really easy task but actually there was so much to choose from and I am rubbish at making decisions.  In the end I settled upon:

Tools 4 School

The Tools 4 School package is brilliant because it contains all the stationery that your child will need to get them through their next school year.  I don’t know about other parents but Curly is always complaining that he and his friends are arguing over which pen belongs to who so Tools 4 School have provided the answer.  The kit contains, a pencil case with their name and chosen logo on, 12 coloured pencils, 10 coloured felt tip pens, 2 HB pencils, a ruler, a sharpener, a pair of scissors and an eraser, all with their name emblazoned on them so there can be no arguments in the future!

Lunch Bag

Curly doesn’t take the greatest care of his lunch boxes which is why we usually get through two or three per school year.  As he’s getting older we are reluctant to keep buying him the ‘character’ style lunch boxes because he thinks they just aren’t ‘cool’ anymore.  Well we can’t go ruining his street cred now can we?  So when he spotted this lunch box it seemed perfect for him, he loves nothing more than doodling monsters, he has a room full of his monster creations and so he really liked the look of this monster lunch box as it was an extension of his personality and it’s got his new more ‘grown-up’ name on it so there can be no mistaking that it’s his.

Personalised Backpack

I still can’t get my head around the fact that my baby girl who just five minutes ago was a cooing bundle in my arms is now big enough to go to school.  ‘Big School’ cannot come fast enough for her at all, she is just aching to walk through the school gate and get started on her next big journey and I want to make sure that she has everything that she needs as she starts the next phase of her life.  When I spotted this personalised backpack my decision was made, a very pretty pig rucksack with her own choice of design on it and her name.  The bag has plenty of pockets to carry all that she will need and keep everything a little more organised (for the first five minutes until I let her loose on the bag by herself!).

Family Activity Planner

With our ever-growing family it’s getting harder and harder to keep track of everyone’s movements, next year I will have two children at school and one at pre-school as well as Hubby, myself and of course the new baby there will be lots of appointments and activities that I need to be sure don’t get missed.  I had begun to realise that the average calendar just didn’t have the space that I needed so when I spotted this Family Activity Planner from Stuck on You, I found what I was looking for.  With a column for each person (this can actually be named anything you like, you could have a column for ‘meals’ to help you with meal planning) and a stickers for standard activities like school events, holiday etc it is so easy to use and a real ‘quick reference’ kind of planner.  Next year I plan on getting back to the uber-organised woman that I used to be – watch this space!

Stick with Me Wristbands

Finally I chose a little something for the summer holidays to give me some piece of mind.  These Stick with Me Wristbands are the perfect accompaniment to a family day out because everywhere is so busy during the school holidays it’s easy to get parted.  With these wristbands should your child become parted from you, they can go to someone official and ask them to phone you on the number which you have written onto the wristbands making it easier and far quicker to get you back together and able to enjoy your day out fully.  I actually chose not to write my child’s names on the wristbands I felt his was probably a safer option.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out Stuck on You before then you should, you can buy everything from name labels to stationery, lunch bags to clothing.

My son is looking forward to the freedom of using the glue, paints, crayons, scissors and going into a frenzy with any sellotape whenever he likes! He asks me every day if we can do “sticking and glueing” – and he gets soooooo excited at the thought of sticking sellotape on everything and cutting up string to make spider webs!!! 🙂
