A Denim Wishlist to Celebrate Curves

In the days before children I used to go to the gym to bulk up because I was a teeny size 8 and I didn’t look good on it. I felt, and looked, like a bag of bones but fast forward through three babies and working from home and it’s a totally different story. I now regularly go to the gym and work hard to tone up and trim down, my legs are toning and my arms are toning but it looks like my curvaceous behind is here to stay.

Since being a work at home Mum I have found that I have a lot of denim in my wardrobe that no longer flatters my figure. Gone are the days of wearing low-slung waistbands, my denim needs an overhaul so welcome to my Denim Wishlist . . .

Shape & Sculpt Extra High Waist Skinny Jeans

Shape & Sculpt High Waist Jeans

I love the detailing on the waistband of these skinnies which sits perfectly onto my narrowest point and accentuates my waist. I am lucky (so they say) to have very long legs so skinnies work well on me and look great with pretty shoes or my trusty boots for a more rugged look.

Erin Pull-On Bootcut Jeggings

Pull-on Boot Cut

A good pair of bootcut jeggings are a wardrobe staple and make a refreshing change from skinny jeans to balance out the curves. I would team these with a lovely floaty top for a relaxed festival feel.

Shape & Sculpt Crop Jeans

Shape & Sculpt Crop Jeans

I absolutely love a good pair of crop jeans, they can be dressed up for an evening with heals and a strappy top or dressed down for the day with a pair of ballet pumps and a cute tee. These Shape & Sculpt Crop Jeans are specially engineered to multidirectional stretch denim to respond to your curves and maintain their shape, so no baggy bum! They also feature a Magisculpt control panel to tame your tummy and intelligent seaming to define and lift your bottom, can you really ask for more?

Cold Shoulder Denim Ruffle Top

Denim Ruffle Top

It may be raining as I write this post but I’m hopeful that the warmth of the Summer sun will return and we shall once again dare to bare our skin. This is a super-feminine denim top which would look finishes just on the hip line and disguises the tummy nicely. Team it up with a pair of white distressed skinnies for a Summer double denim look or a pretty pair of capri pants if you’re feeling daring.

Soft Lyocel Denim Tunic with Zipper Front

Denim Tunic

Denim dresses and tunics are perhaps one of my most favourite items of clothing, they are so comfortable and versatile, easy to dress up or down. I particularly love the roll-up sleeves and zipper front detail of this supersoft Lyocel denim tunic which looks totally on trend with these distressed black skinnies.
