Thermacare hits the spot

Back pain

In the years before I fell pregnant I was a pretty healthy specimen, no major illnesses to speak of and apart from a niggling pain in the shoulder from a previous car accident, no real ‘injuries’ to speak of either.  When I first moved to Peterborough I spent most days at the gym and loved . . . → Read More: Thermacare hits the spot

6 weeks and we’re doing well!

Today Beanie Boy turned 6 weeks so it was time for his check up.  Last Thursday I went to baby clinic and he weighed 9lb 9oz which meant that he had put on roughly 5oz per week since he was born.  Today he weighed 10lb 3oz which meant he had put on a whopping 8oz in . . . → Read More: 6 weeks and we’re doing well!

A mummy milestone!!

Wedding dress

Yesterday was a major event for me in my journey as a new mummy to my second baby, Beanie Boy. At four weeks post birth I actually fitted back into my skinny jeans. Feeling blue . . .

Today so far has not been a good day.  It started at around 5.15am when Beanie Boy woke for his first feed of the day and then decided not to go back to sleep, not great when I was still up with him at 12.30am so feeling tired is an understatement!

Then I attended the . . . → Read More: Feeling blue . . .

Just 5 short days ago my life changed forever – our son Beanie Boy finally came into the world to make our family complete.  Its so hard to believe that this time last week he wasn’t here, he was still just a wriggling bulge in my tummy.  Now he is laid peacefully sleeping in . . . → Read More: Complete!

I’m in labour!!

About 5 minutes after my post this morning “Where are you baby?” I popped to the loo to “spend a penny” and ended up getting more than I bargained for.  My first thought was “have I just wet myself” but bearing in mind I’d just had a wee, I thought that was a very unlikely . . . → Read More: I’m in labour!!

Where are you baby?

So today is baby’s due date but I’m still sitting here typing on my blog so I guess that means nothing is happening so far! Apparently only 5 per cent of babies are born on their due date and 40 per cent are born later.  Since Little Bean was born 2 weeks late I think . . . → Read More: Where are you baby?
