YouTube Kids, the app built with parents and kids in mind, has signed up as a major sponsor for the Digital Kids Show, which takes place at EventCity in October. YouTube is the pioneer of Internet video and a huge source of educational, entertaining and enriching content for billions around the world.
At the show, YouTube Kids will be creating fun demonstrations to show families exactly how to use the app and all the fun at their fingertips; they’ll also be running awesome workshops with some of their animation teams taking over the Children Media Zone.
As well as sponsoring the event, Greg Dray, Head of Kids and Family in Europe, the Middle East and Africa for YouTube joins the event’s Advisory Board. Dray is a true online and digital pioneer having previously held senior roles at both Time Warner and Lagardere.

The Digital Kids Show takes place on 29th and 30th October at EventCity in Manchester, the show features a stellar line up of YouTubers including Amy Lee 33 who will be signing copies of her new book and LD Shadow Lady. Britain’s Got Talent finalists Boogie Storm and Mythical PSM and Children’s TV favourites Dick and Dom, will also get involved to entertain audiences. The show also features zones focused on STEM, Coding, Children’s Media and Online Safety activities. There’s also a total wipe-out zone for families to take part in tournaments, rides, simulators, science shows, driving lessons for 11-17 years old and much more thrown into the mix to create an awesome day out for kids.
Launched in November 2015 in UK and Ireland, YouTube Kids is an app which makes it easy for kids to find videos on topics they want to explore. Originally launched in the US, generated millions of downloads by families who rate it amongst the top apps for children, featuring some of the hottest programming and best IPs including Little Baby Bum, Postman Pat, Stampylonghead, Wonderquest, Talking Tom and Friends and loads more. What’s more, parents can leave their children viewing on the app without any safety fears as it only serves family friendly, fun content which has been screened.
